All Moms are Working Moms

I am of the opinion that all moms are working moms and should be paid a hefty salary; whether you work outside or inside the home. Our jobs are, by far, the most important. However, they are also the most under-rated. Unfortunately, in our society, success is based on how much money you make, not the lives you touch.

When I was thinking about this post, the first passage of Scripture that comes to mind is Proverbs 31. Now, this lady really has her act together. I hope to one day embody the character this woman has.

1. Her husband trusts and loves her. (verses 11, 12, 23, 28)


2. Her children adore her. (verse 28)


3. She works out. (verse 17) Just a side note, this is one I really, really need help with!


4. She is compassionate to those in need. (verse 20)


5. She is very wise. (verse 26)


6. She makes sure her family is well taken care of. (verses 15, 21, 22, 27)


7. She is very business savvy. (verses 16, 18, 24)


8. She is creative and productive. (verses 13, 19, 22)


9. She is Godly. (verse 30)

Isn’t that amazing!? How does she do it!? In reading this chapter, I think there are just not enough hours in the day, but somehow she gets it done. Does it seem overwhelming to you, or is that just me?

I wish this place was different. I wish moms got the credit they so greatly deserve. So, from one working mom to another, I tell you, you are a success. You may not have all the money, fame, or recognition in the world, but the fact that you get up every morning to take care of your families makes you successful.

“Her children rise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 28
